According to the TRREB data released today, the average price of a 416 condo apartment, which reached $672,807 in July, suggests that Toronto buyers are becoming more confident about affordable homeownership, resulting in a 3.3% year-over-year increase in July sales.
Today’s May TRREB sales results confirmed that 2026 will be another reset year for the Toronto Real Estate market. May is typically the market's lynchpin and routinely the strongest sales month of the year and this past May, GTA sales reached 6,583 transactions, up 6.3% year over year and stronger than any month recorded in 2025. However, across Toronto and the GTA, year-to-date sales are mirroring last year which was the slowest sales year in decades (-1% YoY).
More positive results emerged from TRREB’s GTA June Sales data this month which is encouraging after an exceptionally slow start to the year. June home sales in the GTA edged past May's total, which was already the highest monthly sales figure to date (and better than any month last year), and it also pushed total home sales for the first half of this year slightly past last year’s mid-year mark.
